Blissful Stuff

Category: Uncategorized

Well…..brothersstudios.com is branching out as you may have read a few posts back. We completed the soccer highlight video for a soon to be college soccer player, and is on its way to colleges across America ! It turned out well ( except for the typos that I put in just for fun…DOH!) We completed the light exercise class vid for our Dr. friend (and father-n-law). We are waiting to hear some feedback for some final editing and text. It is gonna be great as well.

And finally, we are filming a weekly series for an online magazine called Blissfully Domestic. It is geared toward the ladies. We are doing a Thursday video concerning makeup tips and trends. It is in the Blissful Style section every Thurday. You can see the first one here (It will be a few posts down on the page by now, since it is from last Thursday) and a new one will be posted at this same page once every Thursday!

So, go and check it out, leave a comment, and really snoop around, you’ll never know what you may find. (P.s. That is my gorgeous wife, of iwantmk.com fame, giving the tips and demonstrating in these videos!) (p.s.s. Bro Steves wife will be the model in this coming Thursdays edition!)

Please enjoy what we are doing when we are not making stupid videos!

Man gets mouthy and name-drops on his way to the county jail

A roundup of unusual

ENGLEWOOD - Oct. 18: An officer observed two males trying to cross the street near the American Legion, 200 W. National Road.

They were not in a crosswalk and one subject signaled for the officer to stop, then asked for a ride to Bolts Sports Bar on South Main Street.

The officer asked why they needed a ride, and the subject said they’d been at another bar, lost track of time and missed the bus to Bolts. He also said he didn’t feel like walking in the cold. The subject said he was just buzzed and needed a ride to the bar.

The officer advised him the police department was not a taxi service and he needed to walk to the bar.

The subject became argumentative and was arrested on a charge of public intoxication.

His friend was released at the scene.

While en route to jail, the subject made comments, including that he would have his attorney, Jon Rion, take care of everything.

Another satisfied customer of Jon Rion. Jon, you can’t buy this kind of publicity!

Woman’s ignorance about public conduct earns her a trip to jail

DAYTON - Oct. 26: An officer patrolling the North Main Street and Maylan Avenue area observed a female carrying a beer and staggering. The officer circled around.

The subject was leaning against a wall with her pants down, urinating on the sidewalk. Her speech was slurred and although the beer she had wasn’t opened, she said she drank earlier and noted she didn’t know it was illegal to “pee on the side of a building.” She was advised that it was illegal and was taken to jail for disorderly conduct.

Just a reminder to anyone interested…if the place you are relieving yourself does not have 4 walls…it is probably illegal! I guess she didn’t know the rules.  There are  a lot of people that do not know this rule! I have personally met quite a few of them. I am thinking that we need a PSA or something about public urination!

A roundup of unusual

ENGLEWOOD - Oct. 11: Officers heard loud karaoke singing coming from an unattached garage while responding to a loud music complaint on Englewood Drive.

The officers were about 30 feet from the garage.

They approached and could see through a glass door that a male was singing into a microphone.

When they knocked they heard a male say, “It’s the cops, I bet!”

A male, identified as the resident, opened the garage door and was advised of the complaint.

He said his neighbors must be upset with him because they keep calling the police when he has people over.

The resident was issued a summons for playing loud music. He was ordered to stop the loud music for the night or further action would be taken.

It’s Friday. You are hanging out in your garage with some buddies singing Karaoke? I really wished they would have reported his set list…..

Son allegedly attacks mom in MySpace altercation

HAYDEN, Idaho - An 18-year-old Hayden, Idaho, man was accused of stabbing his mother after she forbade him to use the Internet social networking site MySpace. The man was arrested last week for investigation of aggravated assault after his mother said he cut her wrist.

The mother said she confronted her 6-foot-2, 320-pound son, after which he became aggravated and packed his belongings to leave their home.

Police said he pulled a black and silver knife from his pocket as his mother tried to take his cellular telephone charger from him.

The man rode off on his bicycle but was later detained by police.

He was released from Kootenai County Jail on Monday.

Another MySpace tragedy. Why don’t we hear about successful people having these kinds of problems. Dude, if you are an adult and living at your parents home and cannot get off the MySpace, and have to ride a bike everywhere, do a little internal inventory. I mean, you stabbed your mom over MySpace when you  are living in HerSpace……Your 6′2″ and 320, go play football or be a bouncer or something And stop stabbing your mother.

He was intoxicated, argumentative and quite hungry, too

TROY -

A roundup of unusual items from area police departments:

Oct. 24: An intoxicated male was reported staggering across four lanes of traffic in the 1000 block of West Main Street.

The subject was cordial and jovial when officers located him. He stuffed two small doughnuts he’d just purchased into his mouth and the odor of alcohol was easily detected.

When asked for his ID, the subject stated, “Sure! I’ve been drinking a lot, and I’m underage! Here you go! You guys are awesome!”

He handed the officer his entire wallet and then nearly fell over. The 20-year-old said he drank “a whole lot” and that he was “wasted.”

When an officer removed a bottle of Kamchatka vodka from the subject’s back pocket, he stated, “Yep, that’s mine, too!”

He then spit out a large wad of doughnut, as well as a cigarette he’d been chewing along with the doughnut.

He was arrested for underage consumption, disorderly conduct and an open container. His demeanor changed while en route to jail and he banged his head twice against the partition in the cruiser, yelling for the pretzels he had purchased.

Dude was eating a cigarette.’ Nuff said.

He’s the doggone maintenance man, emergency or not

A roundup of unusual items

VANDALIA - Sept. 22: Emergency vehicles were at the scene of a gas leak at an apartment on Winding Hollow Trail when a male drove past them and exited his truck.

The subject was told twice to move his vehicle. Both times he replied that he was maintenance.

An officer explained to the subject that he couldn’t drive into the middle of an emergency scene. He was instructed to park and stay in his vehicle unless the fire chief told him otherwise.

The subject pulled into a parking spot, got out when the officer’s back was turned, then walked to the apartment with the gas leak.

The engine crew was standing outside, calibrating the meter and preparing to enter when the subject walked past the firefighters and entered, ignoring orders to stop. The subject did exit the apartment after being ordered to do so. He was issued a summons for misconduct at an emergency.

He is a maintenance man. A Dedicated maintenance man…let him through!  How many times has a maintenance man been called for a leak and you do not see him for over an hour ” ’cause Dukes Of Hazzards was on!” ? He should get a medal and a raise not a summons.

Go Vote, You UnAmerican, Unappreciative Slackers!

I hate to get all serious on you, buuutt…..

I am not sure, but I think this is an election year. I seem to have seen a few ads for something……

Really, get out and do some research, do not take your co-workers word, or rely solely on the ads on TV( or the internet, billboards, yard-signs, phone-calls, placards,  mailers, pop-ups, subliminal messages, SNL, radio, your union “represenitives”, celebrity endorsements,  bloggers, talk show hosts, newspaper and magazines ads and blimps)

Go check out the candidates voting records, their years of service ( or compare the number of years they have served our country!) , listen to what comes out of their mouths! Think about what you know to be the truth and then think about what these guys really believe. And not just “politically”, but morally and socially. I know what the truth is. I know what is right. I know that one of these guys does NOT believe what I believe, or at the very least, he is ignoring righteousness and truth for political expediency.

The economy is a big issue, but you know what? It’s gonna be okay. We will all “suffer” a bit. Shoot, I could get laid off tomorrow.

The war against terrorism and radical Islam is horrible and frightening. But it’s all gonna be alright if we stand firm on truth.

But if we let a man who can throw in the towel on basic fundamental truths win this election, we are placing everything at risk…including our economic future.

As I have gotten older I have understood better, not my right to vote, but my responsibility to vote. It’s an old cliché, but boy is it true.  Check things out thoroughly yourselves. I obviously have made my decision on who will best serve our country.

There are so many issues at stake here. Abortion (come on, this is a no brainer!) Socialism ( I hate to break it to you, but that guy brought it up….”We’re gonna spread the wealth around”…downright scary!) Capitalism ( It is what has made our country a powerhouse in the world and has given us the ability to defend ourselves..) and more!

So get out there and do what is right! Stop fumbling around with the truth! And do not let anyone else tell you how to think, check it out for yoursleves. You have 3 choices here. Don’t vote and you will be lettting others decide your fate and the fate of your loved ones. Vote for Barrack Obama, who I believe is bad choice for America. Or John McCain who I believe is the best chance we have to maintain a certain Christian character in the White House. Is he perfect? No, but neither are you my friend….

The Truth is out there….(cue cool X-files music)

Dog Gone Wrong!

I just have to get this off of my chest. It has nothing to do with our videos or anyone I know…sort of.

There is a disturbing phenomenon going on that has frustrated, scared, and downright creeped me out.

Yes that is right..Dogs in cloths, or in this case, costumes.

I mean really. Look at this guy…or girl. Who knows?

Look at him sniffing the ground in desperate search of his dignity.

Or this guy!

Punk rock dog or poster boy for abused pets? You be the judge.

It can’t be healthy for these dogs psyche. If they even have a psyche…

These 2 guys are really confused at the sight of each other.

Can you imagine what might be going through these little doggy brains?!!

” What are you ?”

Do I look as stupid as you ?!”

Your butt is covered, how do I sniff it and get to know you like civilized dogs should ?!”

And finally, the straw that broke the camels back. A pathetic creature obviously aware enough of his situation to be totally humiliated, but lacking opposable thumbs to do anything about it. (no offense Bobby)

  I give you…chicken-dog. Poor thing.

Please, save your dog a butt kicking at the bark park. Leave the cloths to people. And if you have a goofy costume, you try it on first, if you don’t feel ridiculous and humiliated, go ahead and put it on the dog, but at least put yourself in his paws first.

I’m Busy! Get off My Back!

Category: Uncategorized

Busy busy busy.

We are almost done with the two outside projects we filmed for a Doctor and a future Pele ( or Beckham if you are too young to know who Pele is…)

So next week I hope to film a little short about what happens when the dog over steps his bounds. I’m talking to you Dudley!

Boy, we sure would like to increase the quality of our movies. If anyone out there knows what they are doing and have any suggestions let us know! We would like to have more professional equipment, but thanks to all those in the Senate that didn’t listen to Sen McCain 2 years ago, we are in a bit of a financial crunch. So anyone with tips on how to get the most out of mini-DV recording on a budget (ie lighting, settings etc.) we would love to exchange ideas.

Thanks for hanging with us here at brothersstudios.com,

Tuesday, lets get it started!

Category: 5Things, Blog, suggestions

Hello all!

We are getting back into the swing of things here at brothersstudios.com. Not only are we working on some more entertaining videos for everyone, we are also working on some more serious projects that will help us develop our craft. We have 2 things in the works.

First of all we are filming a highlight video for a talented local soccer player that will be sent out to colleges and universities for their recruiting and scholarship programs. We have filmed one game and will film at least one more. I think it is going to really turn out well.

Second, we have filmed a couple of classes for Bro Stephens father in law, a chiropractor. He teaches and hosts various health and fitness classes for his patients and friends. He cares a lot about the health of our community and wants to make these classes more available to others. These too, are going to be great.

We have need of some new ideas from you guys for the next 5things video. I was a little overly ambitious saying we were going to do one a month, but we will get as many out as we can. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP! Give us a great idea for the next 5things and your name (and website if you have one) will be listed in the credits and a link on the blog. ( that is if it is an appropriate site for a whole family to visit!) So give us your idea for a 5things video. It can be anything. 5things not to wear to a wedding. 5things not to say to your Grandmother. 5things you should  not do at your bail hearing, Whatever. Get creative and submit them here at the blog or you can write us at brothers@brothersstudios.com. We would love to hear from you, even if it is just a suggestion to make things better here at our sites, or just to give us some props for having the funniest videos on the web.

Speaking of which, we posted our latest 5things , “5things You Should Never Do At a Funeral”, at break.com ( please be aware that we have not seen all of the videos on that site, and some may or may not be appropriate for everyone.)

If you feel comfortable going to break.com , please go and search for brothersstudios, or 5things You Should Never Do At a Funeral , and rate our video the best you have ever seen! It would be great to get us some more exposure on the web. We have a couple of videos there, so go give them a positive rating too!

We will see you soon, here at brothersstudios.com!

Summer of love(ing to do nothing on this site and losing all of our viewers and making everyone mad cause we haven’t posted any new videos or anything)

Category: Uncategorized

Well, apparently we took the summer off. I made a few commitments that I have not kept.(sorry everyone!)Our Southern brother (Darryl) is making a trip up next week and we will be making a few things to post. My family has taken a couple of trips this year, as has Brother Stephens family.

The New Thunder Brothers Movie is still in the works. Stephen has a script sketched out and we have been working the behind the scenes stuff.( which usually consists of us making each other laugh with stupidideas.) I am hoping to have a preview/trailer up soon. I will not make any more promises, but we should have some new stuff up soon. And I will post more blogs as well…….i promise….just kidding,no I am not…just kidding, just kidding, no,yeah, no…just kidding.
